An Author Walks Into a Writer’s Conference…

So I went to my favorite writer’s conference last weekend and met some of the most amazing authors! I’ve perused their works and chosen one book by each author to share with you–some have many more novels to their credit, but for this list, I’ve chosen the titles I thought my readers would most enjoy. Please click on the author’s name for more information about their other books and to follow them on social media.

Soil-Man by Oz Monroe

For adults only, horror meets philosophy in this award-winning novel for those who like to think. Only for strong stomachs who don’t mind not being able to sleep at night.

Tracker by Indy Quillen

Meet Fox Walker, a Native American tracker who finds himself in the middle of a crime in the Colorado wilderness that only his unique skills can solve.

Scythe: Legions of the Claimed by Mercy Hollow

The Game of Thrones meets motorcycle gangs with lots of gritty magic. A rollicking dark fantasy.

Between the Lines by Claudia Whitsitt

A timely historical novel for middle graders: the story of three girls who become friends during the racially-charged aftermath of the 1967 Detroit Riots.

Girlgoyle by Better Hero Army

For young adult readers: imagine you died, only to awaken and find out you’ve been drafted into the Gargoyle Ghost Hunter Corps. Gorgeous Manga art, too.

Except for ghosts: I can't speak for what the ghosts might do with this information. (But they're watching you anyway.)
